The Georgia Bulldogs have seen some huge turnaround in their second season under head coach Kirby Smart especially on the offensive side of the ball and Isaiah Wynn credits consistency on the coaching staff as a major factor.

Going into Wynn’s senior season for the first time ever he will have the same offensive coordinator in Jim Chaney and offensive line coach in Sam Pittman. Wynn has seen coaching changes each and every year, with his positions coach and coordinator, but this year is different and he believes it is playing a huge role in the team’s success.

“We’ve bought in. We’re more comfortable with the coaching staff, you know, it’s hard to buy into a coaching staff that just came in,” said Wynn. “But now, I mean, the coaching staff has been here for two years, so everybody is more comfortable.”

The Bulldogs ran for 2,536 rushing yards last season while also only scoring 319 points in 13 games, which was well below the national average. However, the Bulldogs have had a ton of success thus far this season as they have almost already matched both of those totals with 329 points scored and 2,514 rushing yards.

There definitely has to be a higher level of player comfort with the coaching staff as they have not had to learn new things about their coaches, but rather, they know how they operate and the expectations that they have.

There’s no downplaying the amount of success the Bulldogs have had and having a consistent coaching staff can definitely take some of the credit for that. The Georgia offense will have one of their biggest tests, but a chance to solidify themselves as one of the country’s better teams as they face the No. 10 Auburn Tigers on the road in their next game.
