UGA Student-Athletes Set New Standard, Achieve Highest Ever GPA for Fall Term

The 564 student-athletes enrolled at UGA claimed a grade point average of 3.11 or better during the 2017 fall semester, claiming the highest GPA ever for a fall term.

 

Georgia’s student-athletes closed the previous school calendar year recording the best ever spring GPA average of a 3.13. This fall marks the ninth consecutive semester in which the overall GPA is above a 3.00.

 

Both men’s and women’s cross country teams led the way among all sports with respective 3.37 and 3.49 GPAs.

 

On the men’s side, track and field came in second with a term GPA of 3.18 followed by tennis at 3.11, swimming and diving with a 3.04, and golf at 3.018.

 

Women’s tennis captured the second highest GPA of women’s sports with a GPA of 3.45 followed by soccer at 3.416, golf at 3.412, gymnastics with a 3.37 GPA and track and field at 3.35.
