ATHENS, Ga. – Head coach Tom Black and the Georgia volleyball program have announced its participation in a pair of Spring tournaments beginning this weekend.
Georgia will head to Winston-Salem, North Carolina this Saturday, Mar. 17. The Bulldogs will take on Wake Forest at 9 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. matchup with UNCG. Georgia will live stream both matches on its Facebook page via Facebook Live.
Next Saturday, Mar. 24, Georgia will travel to Durham, North Carolina for four matches at Duke. Georgia will face UNCG, NC State, North Carolina, and Duke.
The Spring roster features 13 returning student-athletes from the 2017 season. In Black’s first season at the helm, Georgia won 22 matches, the most since 2013 and more wins than 21 of the last 22 seasons. The Bulldogs made their first postseason appearance since 2013 when they earned an automatic bid to the 2017 National Invitational Volleyball Championship, advancing to the third round of the 32-team tournament.
