The eighth-ranked University of Georgia gymnastics team will conclude regular season competition against No. 6 Utah in front of its home crowd in Stegeman Coliseum on Saturday, March 16 at 4 p.m. The GymDogs will honor their lone senior, Sydney Snead, in Senior Night celebrations prior to the meet.
To date, Snead has competed in the all-around 29 times and is already a four-time All-American, in addition to scoring a Perfect 10 on floor last season against Florida. She has earned 39 event titles as a GymDog and is a three-time All-SEC selection. Currently Snead is ranked as 10th in nation for the all-around, as well third on vault, and 18th on beam.
IN THE RANKINGS
Georgia has four gymnasts holding nine spots in the top 25 of the event rankings. Sydney Snead is ranked 10th in the nation for the all-around, third on vault, and 18th on beam. Sabrina Vega ranks in the top 10 on both beam (7) and floor (9), while Rachel Dickson holds spots in the top-25 on vault (23), floor (21), and all-around (25). In the vault rankings, freshman Rachael Lukacs is ranked 12th in the nation.
All-TIME AGAINST UTAH
Georgia leads the all-time series against Utah by a 28-26-1 tally. The GymDogs are 12-3 in Athens with the Utes last taking home a victory in 2011.
