Georgia still recruiting South Carolina commit MarShawn Lloyd
According to the latest crystal ball predictions, tea leaves, and pontifications of the media in the world of college football recruiting news, it looks like Kendall Milton is leaning towards to committing to the Bulldawgs, but Georgia isn’t resting on their laurels. UGA has offered 20 running backs for the 2020 recruiting cycle thus far, and before the dead period, the Dawgs’ coaching staff were out working the recruiting trail. Even though DeMatha Catholic’s MarShawn Lloyd committed to Georgia SEC East rival South Carolina back in May, the Bulldawgs are still recruiting the state of Maryland prospect.
Lloyd is a four-star according to 247, ESPN, and Rivals, and the 5-foot-9, 209 lbs rising senior is considered a top-10 RB prospect for 2020. In the Opening Regionals back in May, he ran a 4.51 forty and put up a 37.5-inch vertical. Lloyd is a decisive physical downhill runner with a nasty stiff arm and has the ability to be utilized in the passing game.
Look for the talented back to try to get back to Athens and visit UGA before all is said and done, even if Milton commits to the Dawgs, Kendall plans to announce on July 29th. Lloyd has a good relationship with Dell McGee, and it’s possible Georgia decides to take two RBs in this recruiting cycle. Keep Lloyd on your flip watch radar.
