1 – Lead with that Power Run

Very few teams in the country can rival Georgia’s outstanding collection of running backs and offensive linemen. These two groups, ripe with All-American and All-Southeastern Conference candidates, and junior quarterback Jake Fromm are the backbone of the Bulldogs offense. Setting the tone on the ground is Georgia’s path to success. It wears down the opposition and opens up options in the passing game. On what promises to be a hot afternoon with that noon kickoff, those Bulldog big uglies must show the way. That talented depth at running back and the offensive front will get a chance to shine Saturday.

2 – Get that Passing timing down

As the Bulldogs passing attack continues to come together, Saturday offers another test to get the timing down between Jake Fromm and Georgia’s receivers. With an outstanding running attack, steady progression in the passing game should certainly follow. Fromm is one of the country’s best quarterbacks. The Bulldogs receivers are big, fast and talented, they just haven’t had the collective in-game experience with Fromm. Well, this will be the third game, so getting the aerial attack clicking to play off the running game is a box the Bulldogs would like to check Saturday.

3 – D-Line Domination

There is depth, experience, and size on Georgia’s defensive line. Getting that push against the Red Wolves offensive line is the ticket to an outstanding defensive performance. Jordan Davis made a big impact when he moved into the starting lineup at nose guard in the second half of the 2018 regular season. He makes plays, takes up space and eats up blockers, tilting the numbers game Georgia’s way. The collective improvement of this unit is huge. Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart may want to go around 10 deep Saturday.

4 – Big Play Special Teams

Along with the obvious sound play, avoiding turnovers and penalties, the Bulldogs are hungry to make some big plays. Whether in the return game or blocking punts or kicks, Georgia’s overall quality of depth and athleticism, gives the Bulldogs the potential to make game-changing plays in the kicking game. On a day like Saturday, explosive plays on special teams could help create some separation and get a lot of snaps for a lot of players.

5 – Bring the Fire

Everyone knows what’s on deck. Kickoff is at noon. These are the types of excuses that don’t fly under Smart’s watch. He will have the Bulldogs ready to play, and this team would love a full and loud house for Saturday’s battle with Arkansas State. It takes forever to get here, but the season just flies by. This is the third game of the year, meaning the regular season is one-fourth finished. Every Saturday is something to be savored, and a chance for the Bulldogs to make further strides in the ultimate quest.
