Less than a week ago, when Sam Pittman announced he would be leaving Georgia as their offensive line coach to take the head coaching position at Arkansas on Sunday, December 8th, there were some questions marks for fans, media, and prospective student-athletes regarding on who UGA would find as a replacement. Understandably so, a number of the 2020 UGA o-line commits wanted to take a moment to re-evaluate what was going on, as was stated by Darlington School offensive tackle Tate Ratledge.
But by Tuesday afternoon on December 10th, UGA and Kirby Smart had hired former Ole Miss head coach Matt Luke, and it didn’t take long for Luke to go see Ratledge as he and Kirby were at Darlington School the very next day on Wednesday.
And Dawg fans will be happy to know that Coach Luke must have made the right impression as Ratledge posted on his Twitter account on Saturday that he was shutting down his recruitment and would be signing his LOI on Wednesday, December 18th during the Early Signing Period.
