UGA baseball student-athlete Tucker Bradley talks about his performance and shares his thoughts on teammate Ryan Webb in the Bulldogs’ 6-5 win over in-state rival Georgia Tech on Friday evening at Foley Field in Athens, GA.
The junior only had one hit on the evening in his four at-bats, but it was a big one, a three-run homer over the right-field fence in the bottom of the fourth to put the Dawgs up 5-1. Bradley was asked about Georgia’s five-run fourth inning.
“It was timely hitting. We noticed the bats weren’t going [in the first three innings],” said Bradley. “When we had the opportunity, we were able to strike. It was really big to capitalize on stuff like that.”
Tucker also was asked about teammate Ryan Webb, a left-handed junior pitcher who closed out the final 3.1 innings of the game for the Bulldogs.
“He has been electric for us since the get-go. He has come on right after Emerson and shut [other teams] down,” said Bradley. “It has been fun to watch him pitch because he is a big loud guy and he shows a lot of emotion. It is amazing to see.”
