Jillian Hollingshead, a McDonald’s All-American who is part of the Georgia Lady Bulldogs’ 2021 signing class, has been named the state’s Class 7A Player of the Year by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. 

The 6-foot-4 forward helped lead McEachern (Ga.) High School to a region title and the semifinals of the state tournament. She averaged close to 19 points and 12 rebounds per game during her senior season. 

Hollingshead was the No. 5-ranked forward and the No. 37 overall player in the 2021 class according to ESPNW. The explosive front court star was also ranked No. 22 in the ESPN HoopGurlz Terrific 25 for the high school class of 2021. 

After spending three seasons at Holy Innocents Episcopal School, Hollingshead transferred to McEachern. As a sophomore, she helped Holy Innocents to a Region 5A championship and a state title, scoring a game-high 25 points to go with 10 boards in the championship game. She was also an Atlanta Tip-Off Club First-Team All-State selection.

Hollingshead was invited to the USA Women’s U16 National Team trials, where she was one of 18 finalists for the 2019 USA Women’s U16 National Team. 

She is one four signees of Georgia’s 2021 class, joining fellow McDonald’s All-American and top-40 prospect Reigan Richardson (Huntersville, N.C.) as well as Alina Sendar (Amsterdam, Netherlands) and Kimora ‘Kimmie’ Jenkins (Long Island, N.Y.).
