Georgia’s Jenny Bae and Caterina Don have been voted second-team All-SEC for the 2020-21 season in balloting of the league’s women’s golf head coaches, the league office announced on Friday.

Bae, a junior from Suwanee, Ga., and Don, a sophomore from Pinerolo, Italy, have been the Bulldogs’ top golfers throughout the current campaign.

Bae leads Georgia in numerous stats, including stroke average (73.00), counting rounds (100 percent), birdies (78) and par-or-better rounds (11). She has recorded two top-10 and six top-20 individual finishes in nine tournaments to date and led the Bulldogs individually at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational (t11th), The Ally (t3rd), Gamecock Intercollegiate (t15th) and SEC Championships (t10th). On Wednesday, Bae finished fourth overall – and as first alternate – at a USGA qualifier for the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open.

Don sports a 73.19 stroke average and has competed in seven of nine tournaments this season. She has eight par-or-better efforts in 21 rounds this season and four top-20 finishes, including a season best third-place effort at the LTWF Heroes Intercollegiate. Don missed the LSU Tiger Golf Classic last month, sitting out after competing in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur the previous week. She is one of only nine golfers to make the cut at both editions of the Augusta National Women’s Am in 2019 and 2021.

This is the second season earning SEC accolades for both Bae and Don. Bae was named to the league’s All-Freshman team in 2019, while Don was tabbed both second-team All-SEC and SEC All-Freshman a year ago.

The No. 18-ranked Bulldogs are set to open play at the NCAA Columbus Regional next Monday. Georgia is the No. 5 seed among 18 teams competing next Monday-Wednesday at the OSU Scarlet Course vying for six spots in the field for the NCAA Championships. The 24-team NCAA Championships will be held May 21-26 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
