Matt Luke (OL Coach) – After a momentary hiatus from coaching, Matt Luke joined the Clemson coaching staff in December of 2023. The former Georgia coach helped recruit and coach some incredible talents during his time with the Dawgs. He was a member of the historic, drought-breaking 2021-22 championship team. Yet, in this game, Coach Luke will be on the sideline opposite to Kirby Smart. Luke has over 20 years of coaching experience, including being the head of an offensive line that had to compete in practice against first-rounders like Jordan Davis, Jalen Carter, and Devonte Wyatt. There is no doubt he has the knowledge and ability to train linemen to be elite, which is something the Tigers have lacked of late.

Cade Klubnik (QB #2) – Former high school five star Cade Klubnik is now heading into his second year as Clemson’s starting quarterback. The highly touted Texas recruit has not yet fully lived up to his name but is looking to start off the 2024 season strong. Klubnik completed 63% of his passes last season for a total of 2,580 yards and 19 touchdowns. He also threw eight interceptions. In addition, he’s a bit of a threat on the ground. Klubnik rushed for 182 yards and 4 touchdowns with his longest run of the season being 22 yards. He led Clemson to a victory over their last SEC opponent, Kentucky, in the Tiger’s December bowl game.

Tyler Brown (WR #6) – Tyler Brown is Clemson’s No. 1 receiver heading into the 2024 season. He led the team in receiving yards last season, followed by Beaux Collins. With Collins transferring to Notre Dame, Brown looks to make even more of a name for himself during his sophomore campaign. As a freshman, Brown caught 51 passes for 519 yards and 4 touchdowns. The 5’11 receiver reportedly clocked at 22.9mph during one of his high school games.

Blake Miller (OT #78) – Junior offensive tackle Blake Miller will be a nuisance for the Georgia defense. Standing at 6-6, 315-pound, Miller is projected to be drafted within the second or third round of the 2025 NFL Draft, barring any unforeseen circumstances. He was thrown into action early, allowing him to showcase his ability. Miller was named a 2022 Freshman All-American. The skilled tackle didn’t slow down, either. He was also awarded a 2023 All-ACC selection. His new offensive line coach, Matt Luke, will have him ready to face off against a talented Dawg defensive line.

Sammy Brown (LB #47) – He may not start out with the most playing time, but the class of 2024’s No. 1 linebacker, Sammy Brown, is definitely a name to watch. Brown’s college decision came down to two schools: Georgia and Clemson. Ultimately, the Jefferson County standout decided to take his talents to Clemson, South Carolina. Dabo Swinney says Brown will start on special teams and will play at linebacker as needed for the time being.

Barrett Carter (LB #0) – Barrett Carter, potentially Clemson’s most gifted player, chose to return to the Tigers for his senior season. The former North Gwinnett High School five star linebacker seeks to make a statement in his home state. Carter recorded 37 solo tackles, 3.5 sacks, and one interception last season. He is already high on the 2025 draft boards of NFL scouts.

An All-American in football and two-time All-American in basketball, Banks McFadden led Clemson to its first postseason game, a 6-3 win over Boston College in the 1940 Cotton Bowl.

One of the most popular players in Atlanta Hawks history, shot swatting Wayne “Tree” Rollins, who stood 7-1, was the first Clemson Tigers athlete in any sport to have his jersey retired.

Woody Dantzler was a dual threat standout for Clemson and in 2001 became the quarterback in college football history to have 2000 yards passing and 1000 rushing in the same season.
