MBB: Georgia Men’s Basketball Signs Beck Cammarata Through Team Impact
Today, the Georgia men’s basketball program announced a new team member, signing 14-year-old Beck Cammarata through Team IMPACT.
Cammarata, who is battling Duchenne muscular dystrophy, officially signed with the team today following Friday’s practice. He will participate in many activities with the program over the next two years, including games, practices and other team events.
Team IMPACT, a national non-profit organization, has developed a unique multiyear program that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country. Based on a clinical model, Team IMPACT guides a symbiotic relationship between teams and children focused on socialization, empowerment, and resilience.
Georgia has worked with Team IMPACT in previous years, matching children across its women’s basketball, gymnastics, equestrian and swimming & diving teams.

WTEN: Bulldogs Collect Seven Wins at Roberta Alison Fall Classic Day One
The Georgia women’s tennis team secured seven wins on the first day of the Roberta Alison Fall Classic at the Alabama Tennis Stadium on Friday.

- #94 Aysegul Mert earns two wins of the day, opening her morning with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Auburn’s Ava Esposito Cogan before coming back from behind to knock off Alabama’s Sara Nayar 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 for her second win in the afternoon.
- #106 Sofia Rojas also secured two victories on the day, the first coming via retirement 6-3 against Georgia Tech’s Olivia Carneiro before following up with a win against Alabama’s Klara Milicevic 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.
- Hayden Mulberry was the third Bulldog to earn two wins on day one, taking a three-set win 6-2, 1-6, 6-3 over Louisville’s Alice Otis before coming back in the afternoon to defeat Mississippi State’s Gianna Oboniye 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.
- Sarah Branicki went 1-1 on the day, falling in her first match 6-2, 6-1 against Mississippi State’s Athina Pitta before bouncing back to knock off South Alabama’s Manal Ennaciri 6-4, 6-2 for her lone win of the day.
