MBB: Dawgs Will Meet Grand Canyon in Atlanta During Holiday Hoopsgiving
Tickets for the Georgia’s matchup with Grand Canyon at Stage Farm Arena in Atlanta during Holiday Hoopsgiving on Saturday, Dec. 14 are now on sale. The Bulldogs and Antelopes will meet at 6:00 p.m. in the third and final game of Hoopsgiving action that day.
Tickets are available via georgiadogs.com/mbbtix and include reserved seats for all three Hoopsgiving games on the 14th. In addition to the matchup between UGA and GCU, Auburn will face Ohio State at 1:00 p.m. and Florida will take on Arizona State at 3:30.
Georgia is off to a 5-0 start, with the Bulldogs averaging 87.0 points per game. Asa Newell, the reigning SEC Freshman of the Week, leads a quintet of players scoring at a double-figure pace for Georgia at 16.8 ppg. Following Tuesday’s 93-45 win over Alabama A&M, the Bulldogs ranked among the nation’s top-10 teams in rebounding margin (No. 2 at +18.0) and blocks (No. 8 at 7.0 bpg).
Five of the six teams in the Hoopsgiving field were featured in the latest edition of ESPN.com’s Bracketology projections for the 2025 NCAA Tournament field, with Auburn as a No. 2 seed, Ohio State as a No. 7 seed, Florida as a No. 6 seed, Grand Canyon as a No. 12 seed and the Bulldogs tabbed as the “eighth team out” of the bracket.
Georgia will be making its second Hoopsgiving appearance. Two years ago, the Bulldogs defeated Notre Dame, 77-62, at State Farm.
