What life lessons did you learn while at UGA? People matter more than anything and core connections are the key to meaningful and lasting relationships.

What professor did you most admire? Professor “Red Notes” formerly of E. Broad Street and Baxter Street. He was never judgmental.

What do you consider your greatest achievement? Without question, mine and Christina’s two girls. I’ve often said, I don’t deserve them, but I’m not giving them back. I’m biased but they’re amazing.

Which historical figure do you most identify with? Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus.

Who are your heroes in real life? I looked up the definition of hero and it has been defined as “a person admired for achievements and noble qualities” and as “one who shows great courage”. To protect the names of the innocent, I’ll identify them in no rank order by initial only: CMV, BNJ, RWM, FSB.

Quote to live by: “It’s a team effort.” – Justice John Ellington

What is your idea of perfect happiness? Enjoying the company of family and friends at or near the ocean with good music and good cocktails.

What is your most marked characteristic? Depends on who you ask and the day (Saturdays are off limits)! On a good day, hopefully sincerity.

What do you most value in your friends? Integrity. Built into this is honesty and loyalty. A dear friend, David Mincey, reminded me once that you don’t need a lot of friends, just good ones. I agree.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? My outright hatred for Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, Gary Danielson …

Who are your favorite writers? James Patterson and John Grisham for their masterful storytelling, Malcolm Gladwell for his observations and synthesis of truths hiding in plain sight and Thomas Carlyle.

Fave social media and who to follow? Picture Man circa 1997.
