I’ll start by saying, if you’re smart, I’d fade these lines. We are terrible this year, but we’re back with another week of picks on Hammy’s Horseshoes… CAUTION! Do the opposite of what I say!
Georgia Tech (-14.5) @ Wake Forest | O/U 54.5
Saturday, Sep. 27, 12 PM
Haynes King and Brent Key have put Atlanta back on the college football map, but not as the crossroads of the sport and home of the Hall of Fame… Rather, Atlanta is known as Tech football country once again. The Yellow Jackets head to Wake Forest. I will keep putting my money on Tech until they prove me wrong. Hunker down with the nerds as they bury the Demon Deacons and cover the 14.5-point spread.
Notre Dame (-5.5) @ Arkansas| O/U 65.5
Saturday, Sep. 27, 12PM
Despite starting the season 0-2, the Fighting Irish are a really good ball club. As long as Marcus Freeman is the head coach, I’ll have faith in the Catholics. Sam Pittman and Arkansas got upset by Memphis last week. Notre Dame can’t afford another loss this year if they want to keep their CFP hopes alive. Hunker down with Notre Dame to silence the “Woo Pigs” and cover that 5.5-point spread.
Louisville (-3.5) @ Pitt | O/U 55.5
Saturday, Sep. 27, 12PM
The ACC is wide open, and I think Louisville is right in the mix. QB Miller Moss, a transfer from USC, needs to take a step forward in order to keep the Cardinals in that conversation. I think Moss has a huge game, and puts Louisville in position for a statement win on the road. Hunker down with Louisville to cover 3.5 in Pittsburgh.
Cincinnati @ Kansas (-5.5) | O/U 55.5
Saturday, Sep. 27, 12PM
Cincinnati took a tough loss on Thursday night of week one. Since, they have proven to be an offensive power, outscoring opponents 104-20 in two games. Kansas, with Jalon Daniels at quarterback, has been another dangerous offense. We love the over in Lawrence, Kansas. Hunker down with over 55.5!
Utah State @ Vanderbilt (-22.5) | O/U 59.5
Saturday, Sep. 27, 12:45PM
I love Diego Pavia and the Commodores. They avenged their Georgia State loss a year ago with a dominating win last weekend. Head Coach Clark Lea and his Vandy Boys get it done in a big way yet again. Vanderbilt is No. 18 in the country, and I couldn’t be higher on the Dores! Hunker down with Vanderbilt covering 22.5.
Oregon @ Penn State (-3.5) | O/U 53.5
Saturday, Sep. 27, 7:30PM
Penn State has proven nothing thus far while Oregon has looked like one of the best teams in the country. I don’t care that it’s a whiteout in Happy Valley. Give me the Ducks. The “can’t win the big one” narrative for James Franklin remains true as Oregon storms into town and gets a big win with College Gameday in attendance. Hunker down with the Ducks at +3.5, and if you want to get frisky, give me the Ducks ML!
