Georgia junior Manuela Carbajo Ré posted an 80 in Friday’s second round of the NCAA Raleigh Regional at N.C. State’s Lonnie Poole Golf Course. In the process, Carbajo Ré slipped to 67th on the individual leaderboard.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Carbajo Ré opened her day with seven consecutive pars before bogeying both No. 17 and No. 18 and then double-bogeying No. 1 after her turn. She registered a birdie at No. 3 before dropping five more strokes during the rest of her loop.
[su_spacer size=”40″] “Manuela started the day well with seven straight pars and was probably playing better than that but didn’t make any birdies,” head coach Josh Brewer said. “One mistake on a yardage cost her her first bogey and then I think she got impatient and pressed a bit. She knew she needed to put up a good score today.”
[su_spacer size=”40″] Carbajo Ré will open Saturday’s final round at 8:15 a.m. on No. 10. She will be paired with Boise State’s Genevieve Ling and East Carolina’s Frida Gustafsson Spang. Live scoring will be available atwww.golfstat.com.
