ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia seniors Malcolm Mitchell and Jordan Jenkins have been included on the watch list for the Wuerffel Trophy, which is known as college football’s premier award for community service.

Mitchell, a 6-1, 194-pound receiver from Valdosta, Ga., was the team’s third-leading receiver in 2014 with 31 catches for 248 yards and three touchdowns while playing in nine games. Mitchell, who sustained a season-ending knee injury in the 2013 opener, had a combined 85 catches for 1,237 yards and eight touchdowns during his first two seasons in 2011-12.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Jenkins, a 6-3, 253-pound linebacker from Hamilton, Ga., is the Bulldogs’ top returning tackler from his outside linebacker position with 70 stops in 2014. He finished with 9.5 tackles for loss and five sacks to go along with a team-high 24 quarterback pressures. In addition, Jenkins forced two fumbles and recovered another pair last season.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Jenkins has already been named to the watch lists for the Bednarik Award, the Nagurski Trophy, the Butkus Award and the Lombardi Award during this preseason.
