[su_spacer size=”20″] The Georgia Bulldogs worked out for over two hours on Tuesday afternoon in preparation for their first road game of the 2015 season, as well as their SEC opener, this Saturday at Vanderbilt.
[su_spacer size=”40″] The approaching road trip is enough to excite everyone as Georgia continued its preparations for the Commodores.  ”Going on the road for the first time, playing SEC, Eastern Division opponent for the first time, is something that we all work towards and are looking forward to,” head coach Mark Richt said.  “We haven’t played extremely well up there (at Vanderbilt) and that’s something we’ve got to work on and solve.  But we’re excited about the game and I’m sure a lot of their guys will be very excited to play us.”
[su_spacer size=”40″] ”We do feel like there will be enough crowd noise where we have to use our non-verbal cadence. And that’s the biggest thing when you go into an opponent’s stadium:  Do you think it will be loud enough to force you to do that?  I’ve been there long enough to know that you’ve got to have a plan for that.”
[su_spacer size=”40″] Three of Georgia’s last four trips to Nashville have produced close games, including a 31-27 Vandy win in the last meeting there between these two programs in 2013.   This year’s meeting will have a slightly different wrinkle when Georgia wears its traditional home red jerseys, something the Bulldogs normally do for regular-season road games against Georgia Tech and LSU, both of which typically wear white at home.  Georgia is wearing red this Saturday to accommodate Vandy’s wish to wear an atypical color of home jersey.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Georgia leads Vanderbilt 54-19-2 in the all-time series, including a 24-12-2 mark in Nashville.  Bulldog teams have won 10 of the past 11 meetings there, though three of the past four have been decided by five or fewer points
”The first game is over, the first hit, all the jitters and everything, and now I’m excited to get the first road game underway and we’re all excited to play Vandy, our first SEC opponent,” said tight end Jeb Blazevich.   ”I feel like it’s going to be a great game in Nashville.”
[su_spacer size=”40″] Kickoff on Saturday is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. (EDT).  CBS will televise the contest nationally, with Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielsen in the booth.
