Michel grew up and played his high school football at in the state of Florida at American Heritage; so, what did he know about and what did he learn about the rivalry that is South Carolina-Georgia?

I didn’t know about the rivalry coming into the University of Georgia, but now that I’m here, I just see University of Georgia has so many rivalries like Georgia Tech . . . It just lets me know that every week we got to come and play.

[su_spacer size=”40″] Sony talks about the importance of the South Carolina game in the terms of the SEC East division race:

We’re coming into this game as another game we’ve got to win. Every game you want to win. To start off, we want to win the game, and by it being an SEC game, division game, that just adds another edge of wanting to win the game even more.

[su_spacer size=”40″] Based on what he’s seen on film in preparing to face the Gamecocks, what sticks out to Michel about South Carolina?

Them being a good defense.

[su_spacer size=”40″] Georgia has line up and played Sony Michel at several different positions on offense and on he has been on special teams. Sony says he has no preference to what position he plays.

Wherever I’m needed. Wherever coach tells me to play.

[su_spacer size=”40″] Sony talks about the reason for the plays that Georgia has run in the first two games and what we should expect to see versus South Carolina.

We run plays that we practice . . . Coach going to call the perfect play for the perfect defense and sometimes it may not work because there are great players on the other side of the ball.
