The Georgia men’s tennis team notched three doubles and two singles victories at the Bulldog Scramble on Saturday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. In other action, the doubles duo of Austin Smith and Ben Wagland won two matches to claim the consolation bracket at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships in Flushing, New York.

[su_spacer size=”40″] In Athens, freshmen Emil Reinberg and Walker Duncan earned Georgia’s first doubles match of the day with a 6-3 defeat of Harvard’s Sebastian Beltrame and Kenny Tao. The Bulldogs picked up two more wins in doubles at the Bulldog Scramble during the second wave of action. Reinberg and Duncan picked up their second of the day over Georgia Tech’s Carlos Benito and Daniel Yun, 6-4. Freshman Andy Martinez and senior Nick Wood followed suit with a 6-4 score over South Carolina’s Alex Fennell and Sam Swank.

Duncan was defeated by South Carolina’s Alex Fennell 6-3, 6-4 while Reinberg fell to Harvard’s Chris Morrow 7-5, 6-4.

Wagland and Smith defeated Columbia’s Mike Vermeer and Michal Rolski 6-3, 1-6, 1-0 (10-6) to end the road trip.
