The South Carolina Gamecocks (22-6, 1-4) used a walk-off home run to snag a 5-4 win over the No. 12 Georgia softball team (25-4, 1-1) on Sunday night.
 
 
Leadoff hitter Ansley Ard sent a 1-0 ball over left field to end the game, as the Gamecocks had three home runs in the contest. Georgia led a majority of the game before USC knotted it at 4 each in the bottom of the fifth.
 
 
After tying the hit streak record in Saturday’s game, Cortni Emanuel made it her own, as the sophomore had two hits in the game to give her a 23-game hit streak, surpassing All-American Megan Wiggins at the top. C. Emanuel also had a RBI and a sacrifice hit in the game.
 
 
Along with C. Emanuel, Lacey Sumerlin notched a multi-hit game to go with two runs scored and a RBI. Georgia totaled nine hits off the Gamecock pitchers, as Nickie Blue (9-5) earned the win after throwing the final two innings with one hit allowed.
 
 
Brittany Gray (7-3) took the loss after throwing the last three frames with seven hits and three runs allowed. Kylie Bass got the start, giving up four hits and two runs, both solo home runs from Alaynie Page. The duo gave up no walks while striking out three.
 
 
The Bulldogs were ahead 3-1 after two frames, capitalizing on four hits and an error. RBI hits from Tina Iosefa and Lacey Sumerlin brought in the first two before a throwing error on USC allowed Sumerlin to add the third.
 
 
Gamecocks cut it to 3-2 in the bottom third with Page’s second home run before Georgia regained a two-run lead in the next frame with a C. Emanuel RBI slap hit hanging high over the third baseman to let Sumerlin score. USC quickly erased the deficit with a RBI single in the fourth and groundout in the fifth before hitting the game winner to knot the series.
 
 
Game three of the series is set for a 7 p.m. ET start time on Monday with the game being aired on SEC Network.
