“Coach Chaney, I like to say EXPERIENCE. And they are all high-energy guys.”
“I’m becoming a better coach by sitting in those meetings, popping in on those guys,” says Coach Smart; “so number one, I can hold them accountable and number two, I can listen to what they are selling, so I can emphasize it to the players better.”
I will say I was both shocked and saddened when Richt was fired. I will also say I was not in favor of Kirby before he was hired feeling he spurned us for DC a few times. Yet the more I see and hear, I think it may be a good move for all. Both he and Richt returned to their Alma Mater as HC. A “smart” coach will hire competent coordinators and let them do their jobs.
