Beal continued the trend of the Bulldogs going after elite pass rushers from Norcross High school with his commitment.

Beal went to both the IMG Academy in Florida and Peachtree Ridge high school in his senior season, but he was impressive at all the schools he played for in his high school career. Beal drew early comparisons to current Bulldogs lineman Lorenzo Carter, who also went to Norcross high school.

Beal has great technique and once he gets into a collegiate weight program, he should put on mass and he will be the prototypical size of a collegiate outside linebacker that can also put his hand in the dirt. Beal is an outstanding athlete and the fact that he is so technically sound should have him on the field earlier rather than later.

Beal’s time at the IMG Academy made him “homesick” according to many reports, which pushed him away from several schools out of the state of Georgia. This was great news for the Bulldogs because it put them in competition with Georgia Tech, which was not a school that was a strong contender for Beal’s commitment.

Beal’s elite athleticism and outstanding technique will give him a fighting chance at early playing time, but the Bulldogs do have players like Lorenzo Carter, Davin Bellamy, and D’Andre Walker in front of him on the depth chart. This will, in turn, make it very tough for him to crack the starting lineup, but he should be an impactful player in the not so distant future.
