MGOLF: No. 21 Georgia competes at the Valero Texas Collegiate.
The No. 21 Georgia men’s golf team returns to the course this weekend as the Bulldogs compete at the Valero Texas Collegiate. The tournament begins Saturday at TPC San Antonio and concludes Monday.
Tournament Format
The 2024 Valero Texas Collegiate, hosted by UTSA, is a 3-day, 54-hole tournament with teams playing one 18-hole round per day. Each day gets underway at 8 a.m. The individual winner earns an exemption into the 2025 Valero Texas Open on the PGA TOUR.
Course Information
TPC San Antonio will serve as host site of the 2024 Valero Texas Collegiate. It is a 7,100-yard course that plays as a par 72.

The Field
A total of 15 teams will be in San Antonio this weekend. Along with the Bulldogs, the field features seven teams inside the top 25 in the Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll.
Teams playing at the Valero Texas Collegiate include No. 1 Auburn, No. 3 Virginia, No. 4 Vanderbilt, No. 5 Tennessee, No. 8 Oklahoma, No. 15 LSU, No. 21 Georgia, Clemson, East Tennessee State, Mississippi State, North Florida, Ole Miss, SMU, TCU, and host UTSA.

Dawgs at the Valero Texas Collegiate
The Bulldogs finished eighth at the 2023 Valero Texas Collegiate with a score of 11-over par. Carter Loflin and Buck Brumlow finished in the top 10 of the player leaderboard, with Loflin ending four-under par and tied for fifth, while Brumlow finished the tournament two-under and tied for 10th. This marked the first top-five finish in Loflin’s collegiate career and Brumlow’s fourth time in the top 10.
