Aaron Davis’ story is the stuff that makes sports great. He was a promising young player with significant major program interest at Luella High School (Locust Grove) until two knee injuries scared of his suitors. Davis walked on at UGA and became a starter after a redshirt season in 2013. The rest, as they say, is history.

As he prepared for his last spring he was asked to reflect his attitude toward his practice and the upcoming season, Davis replied (beginning of the video below):
 
 
“It is just a chance to leave it all out there. I definitely wanted to bring it every single year before, but this year I know this is it there is nothing else left for me as far as college – so just bring in on.”
 
 
Davis was also asked about the benefit to the young highly-recruited players in Georgia’s secondary of having veteran multi-year starters as leaders and teachers (2:06 mark in the video):
 
 
“You have some guys who have been there for a while, myself included. Some guys who are really dependable and know exactly their assignment and things you need to do. When they are out there, they know that they can trust us and depend on us.”
