Former Bulldog linebacker Alec Ogletree was helping out with the All-State All Hands In Makeover Project at The Bridge Boys & Girls Club in Jacksonville, FL on Friday afternoon along with former Gators Kevin Carter and Tim Tebow, and he shared his score prediction for Saturday’s Georgia-Florida game.

“Georgia. All the way,” said Alec Ogletree. “Hopefully, a blowout, but it’s a rivalry game; so, it’s usually pretty close… 28-10.”

Ogletree also reflected on his time as a member of the University of Georgia football team. He played for the Bulldogs from 2010-2012 under former head coach Mark Richt and went 2-1 versus Florida during his time at UGA. Ogletree also spoke highly of current Georgia head coach Kirby Smart and said while Kirby was at the University of Alabama, he recruited Ogletree to play for the Crimson Tide, but in the end, “Tree” decided to stay in the Peach State and play for the Bulldogs.

“I think Kirby has done a tremendous job there, turned the program around faster than I think most people would’ve thought… He actually recruited me coming out of high school,” said Ogletree. “They were at the top of my list to go play and he was the main reason as to why I wanted to go to Alabama. But it just so happened that I went to Georgia, and I’m thankful for my years at Georgia.”

“I’m definitely glad that he’s back at Georgia,” Ogletree added. “He played there, and he was able to come back to coach. He’s really changed the program around a lot.”
