Classes for the University of Georgia’s Summer Thru Term are set to begin on Monday, June 5th, and there are a number of high school grads who will sacrifice their last summer break before college for a chance to get a head start working towards their diplomas. The move to Athens for many has begun with orientation set from Thursday and advisement and registration for Friday. Among the incoming freshmen moving to UGA are twenty members of the Georgia Bulldogs’ 2017 college football recruiting class.
Six of the Georgia football’s 2017 signees enrolled early back in January for the Spring Semester. That group includes Jake Fromm, Deangelo Gibbs, D’Marcus Hayes (a junior transfer from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College), Jeremiah Holloman, and Monty Rice. The remaining twenty 2017 signees began to arrive on Tuesday. The move in was captured in a short video posted by Georgia football on Twitter which leads off with linebacker Nate McBride and his mom and defensive end Malik Herring. Both freshman make the statement that “SICEM17. We here.”

McBride and Herring were joined by signees, now enrollees, wide receiver Trey Blount, defensive back William Poole III, offensive lineman Justin Shaffer, and corner back Ameer Speed. Offensive lineman Andrew Thomas also Tweeted out that he was moving in, and defensive back Tray Bishop Tweeted out on Monday that he was “Athens, otw (on the way) home…”

Another one of Georgia’s five offensive line signees, the much talked about Isaiah Wilson, looks like he will be arriving from Brooklyn, NY on Friday.
