The 2019 television coverage for the ninth-ranked Georgia baseball team has been finalized after ESPN and the Southeastern Conference announced the schedule Wednesday.
Georgia will be featured 10 times across the ESPN/SEC networks as part of the 2019 SEC Baseball television package. All 31 Georgia home games will be available to view on television or streamed online exclusively as SEC Network + events and available on the ESPN App, and on SECNetwork.com through participating providers. Also, Georgia’s SEC road games will be available on SEC Network + including its opening conference series at South Carolina March 15-17. The SEC starts the season with eight teams ranked in the USA Today Coaches preseason top 25, the most of any conference.
The SEC Network will showcase 75 games. Also, SEC Thursday Night Baseball continues on ESPNU and the SEC Network, and the Bulldogs will be featured three times in 2019 including the road series with Kentucky and Tennessee and home against Missouri. The 2019 SEC baseball television regular season schedule concludes with the return of the Bases Loaded special on Thursday, May 16. In addition, the SEC Network will continue its tradition of airing a Bases Loaded whip-around special set for the final Friday of the season, and will join forces with ESPNU to televise the final weekend of SEC action, May 16-18. All games for the SEC Baseball Tournament will air on SEC Network and ESPN2, with additional digital coverage on SECNetwork.com. ESPN will cover up to 153 postseason games beginning with NCAA Regionals. ESPNU starts the slate with the NCAA Baseball Selection Show on Monday, May 27 at noon. Complete postseason coverage will be announced at a later date.
All 56 regular season Bulldog games will be available on the Georgia Bulldog Sports Radio Network. All Georgia baseball games will be carried locally on WRFC 960 AM as it will serve as the primary home for all broadcasts. In Atlanta, Bulldogs fans can tune in to WFOM 1230 AM. Fans can listen to every game online for free through the official website of the Bulldogs, georgiadogs.com and the UGA gameday app. Also, games that do not conflict with basketball broadcasts will be available on TuneIn. In the Savannah and Brunswick market, WSEG 1400 AM, 104.3 FM along with WSFN 103.7 FM and 790 AM will carry all Georgia games that do not conflict with the Atlanta Braves. Additionally, WBLJ 1230 AM in Dalton will broadcast all of Georgia’s SEC and postseason games that do not conflict with the Braves. WXKT 103.7 FM in Gainesville will carry Georgia’s Friday night game.
The Bulldogs resumed team practice this past Friday, Jan. 25.
The 2019 baseball season opens Feb. 15 as the Bulldogs play host to Dayton in a three-game series at Foley Field.
