The Georgia baseball will host Savannah State at Foley Field today with the first pitch scheduled to scream towards home plate at 6:02 p.m. The game will be televised on the SEC Network and be available on the Bulldog Sports Network from IMG.
Savannah State comes to Athens on a seven-game losing streak and a record of 9-15. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 2-2 in their last 4 games, going 1 for 2 versus LSU over the weekend in a three-game series and then victorious over Kennesaw State a week ago.
Georgia will use a staff approach against the Tigers with redshirt junior Drew Moody (0-0, 8.74 ERA) starting on the mound and on a pitch count. It will be his seventh appearance this year including the second start for the right-hander. The Tigers counter with junior RHP Paul Sheffield, Jr. (1-0, 3.18 ERA) Georgia will resume SEC play Friday with a three-game series at Tennessee (13-8, 0-6 SEC). The Volunteers have been swept the first two weekends of league play, falling to nationally ranked South Carolina in Knoxville and then to Miss. State in Starkville.

Special Promotion for the Savannah State Game (March 28)
Soles 4 Souls: Bring a Pair, Get a Pair: Fans who donate a pair of shoes on March 28th at Foley Field will receive a coupon for a free pair of tickets to the Savannah State game that day. Several UGA student-athletes from the UGA Athletic Association Leadership Academy will be on hand in front of the stadium to collect used pairs of shoes from fans coming to the game. A total of 19 student-athletes from the Leadership Academy are partnering up with Soles 4 Souls and Nike in May and will travel to Costa Rica for a service learning trip and there will be shoe distributions in the community as part of their service initiatives.
