[su_spacer size=”40″] Jared Cheek (TBA/Chicago Cubs): Right-handed pitcher who has signed with the Cubs after being selected in the 21st round of the 2015 MLB draft…Has reported to Mesa, Arizona and will be assigned to one of the Cubs affiliates later this month.

[su_spacer size=”40″] Cecil Tanner (Class A-Short Season/Northwest League/San Diego): Right-handed pitcher who signed as a free agent earlier this month…Currently 0-1, 2.45 ERA in three relief appearances…Tallied 3.2 innings pitched with three walks and eight strikeouts…A former 23rd round draft pick of the Oakland A’s in 2011, he went 0-1 with a 7.40 ERA and one save in 15 games, spanning 20.2 innings for the Athletics in Rookie Ball…In 2012 with Vermont in Class-A Short Season of the New York Penn League, he went 0-1 with a 2.45 ERA in three games for a total of 3.2 innings and then retired…Tanner had been out of baseball until this past June.

Mets): Right-handed pitcher returned to action with one scoreless inning of relief on June 22…Had been out since the summer of 2014 due to elbow surgery….He participated in Major League Spring Training camp in 2014 and spent the first part of 2014 in Triple-A with the Las Vegas 51s before the injury.

[su_spacer size=”40″] Additionally, former Bulldog Mitchell Boggs, a relief pitcher for the Triple-A Gwinnett Braves, was released earlier this month. He went 1-0 with a 6.08 ERA in 13 games, spanning 13.1 innings. Boggs had signed a minor league deal with Atlanta in April after going through Spring Training with Boston.
