Baseball:
Ninth-ranked Georgia and Florida will play a doubleheader Sunday starting at 12:30 pm. after Saturday’s game was postponed due to rain/lightning in the area.
Both games will be only seven innings due to the Southeastern Conference inclement weather policy regarding Saturday rainouts in a three-game series.
Game one Sunday will be televised on ESPN2 with the second game streamed on SEC Network+. Both games will be available on the Georgia Bulldog Sports Network. The final game of the series Sunday will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.
The Bulldogs (35-12, 14-8 SEC) defeated the Gators 6-4 in game one of the series Friday. Florida is now 28-19 overall and 9-13 in the SEC.
Fans, who had tickets for Saturday’s contest, will be admitted to Sunday’s first game only that will begin at 12:30 p.m. Foley Field will be cleared between games of the doubleheader because the entire series is sold out.
Fans holding tickets to game three of the series will be admitted only to the second game of the doubleheader. The final contest of the series will start approximately 30 minutes after the first game of the day.
Softball:
The second game of the series between 14th-ranked Georgia and #15 Ole Miss was suspended Saturday in the first inning.
The game was sent into a weather delay with Ole Miss leading the Bulldogs 1-0 with two out in the home half of the first inning. The delay began at 12:18 p.m. Lighting and rain prolonged the delay until the game was officially suspended at 3:55 p.m..
Georgia and Ole Miss will resume play Sunday at 11 a.m. at Jack Turner Stadium with the finale set to be played after at 1:30 p.m.
