The No. 21 Georgia Bulldogs are back in action Tuesday when Clemson visits Foley Field. First pitch is set for 7:02 p.m. ET and be available on the SEC Network and the Georgia Bulldog Sports Network.

Georgia (23-12) leads the all-time series with the Tigers 123-107-2 going back to 1900, and it owns a five-game winning streak. Freshman right-hander Hank Bearden (3-0, 1.20 ERA) will make his second career start for the Bulldogs while the Tigers will counter with sophomore right-hander Rob Hughes (0-0, 3.63 ERA).  Georgia has used a staff approach in its midweek games this year.

In the first meeting with the Tigers in Clemson earlier this season, freshman third baseman Park Harber collected both RBI in a 2-0 win. Georgia took advantage of a pair of leadoff walks and eventually Harber brought them home on a sacrifice fly and a fielder’s choice. Eight Bulldogs saw action on the mound with Charlie Goldstein getting the win and Darryn Pasqua picking up a save. This will be Clemson’s first game at Foley Field since the historic 20-inning contest in 2019 that the Bulldogs won 3-2 on Connor Tate’s RBI-single. The game lasted a school record six hours and 33 minutes.

The Bulldogs won their second consecutive SEC series this past weekend, beating Kentucky two games to one at Foley Field. The Bulldogs continue SEC play Friday at Missouri. Meanwhile, Clemson has lost six in a row and was swept by No. 25 Miami (Fla.) in Coral Gables. This past Sunday, Georgia exploded for 18 hits to win the rubber game of the series 17-6 against the Wildcats. Tate (.368-8-25) leads the club in batting and has reached base safely in 15 straight contests. He ranks in the top 10 in the SEC in batting, hits and total bases. Tate and graduate Riley King are riding seven-game hitting streaks. The longest current hitting streak belongs to freshman C/DH Corey Collins at nine games. He batted .500 (7-for-14) last week with three doubles, a home run, five RBI and four walks. Redshirt junior INF Josh McAllister (.353-5-15) is back in the lineup after missing seven games due to an injury. He is batting .370 in SEC action, which ranks among the league leaders.
