After the Georgia men’s basketball team defeated Louisiana-Lafayette 73-60 on Wednesday evening at the Stegeman Coliseum, Head Coach Mark Fox talks about the win. Fox talks about redshirt junior Juwan Parker’s season-high 14-point performance, and why he decided to start freshman Jordan Harris over sophomore William “Turtle” Jackson. Fox also talked about the number of guys who contributed in the game and how the team as a whole was very balanced.
That was a really good game for us. Obviously, Louisiana comes in as one of the top-10 scoring teams in the country, one of the top-10 rebounding teams in the country and we just spent 10 days trying to become a better defending and rebounding team. I was pleased for the most part with our defense and I thought we rebounded it well at times. We got better as a team and we had to beat a good basketball team. That team is very well coached team that just won eight games in a row and will win a lot more so it was a good game for our team to certainly win and help make us better.”
