Kirby Smart said after the first scrimmage of spring:
 
 
“Brian Herrien is a guy that we were going to get the ball to and find out what he can do in scrimmage situations – he did pretty well. He ran the ball really hard…had a couple of long, explosive runs. He’s a tough, competitive guy…”
 
 
Herrien, who was a late qualifier acadenically last year, has proved to be an extremely hard runner often dragging tacklers for yards-after-contact in games.
