The website NCAA Gym News has ranked the Georgia Gymdogs’ schedule for 2017 as the toughest schedule in the nation.

The schedule rankings found here, are based off a mathematical formula that uses the final 2016 standings to determine the strength of schedule. In Georgia’s case, when the formula factored in a home meet advantage for opponents by subtracting two points from the final ranking (No. 4 ranking becomes worth two points, No. 3 ranking is worth one point), the Gymdogs’ turned out an average opponent ranking of 10.92 from 2016, the lowest in the country.

“For the last several years we’ve had one of the hardest schedules, if not the hardest schedule in the country,” said Georgia head coach Danna Durante. “We’ve always started tough with competition. I look forward to testing ourselves against some of the elite programs in the NCAA.”
