BRIAN HERRIEN (TB, #35)

Herrien, now a 6-0, 210-pound senior, has been Mr. Reliable for the Bulldogs the past three seasons, whether he’s been called upon to run the football or block for his fellow backs. Playing in all 14 games in 2018, Herrien was the team’s third-leading rusher behind D’Andre Swift and Elijah Holyfield with his 295 yards on 50 carries (5.9 yards per carry). Herrien is also a capable receiver who had a 17-yard scoring catch in the Bulldogs’ Sugar Bowl loss to Texas. Starting ahead of Swift in the 2019 season-opening win at Vanderbilt, Herrien stepped up again by rushing for 65 yards and a touchdown.

JAMES COOK (TB, #4)

An electric speedster who’s capable of scoring from any spot on the field, the 5-11, 190-pound Cook was Georgia’s fourth-leading rusher last season with 284 yards on 41 carries. He also caught eight passes for 89 yards. The sophomore, who is the younger brother of former Florida State All-America Dalvin Cook, is expected to have much bigger numbers this season and playing in the slot in the season opener at Vanderbilt Cook got things started with a bang, scoring on an 18-yard run and showing 41 yards on two kickoff returns. The Bulldogs will be looking to get Cook into the open field as much as possible.

TREY HILL (C, #55)

A teammate of quarterback Jake Fromm for two seasons at Houston County High, this 6-4, 330-pound sophomore is a worthy successor to Lamont Gaillard — now with the Arizona Cardinals — at the Bulldogs’ center position. Hill saw action in all 14 games for the 2018 Dawgs, starting the last four games at right guard. He filled in at center for all but four offensive plays in the win over Kentucky after Gaillard left with an injury. Certainly, the powerful Hill is a catalyst for Georgia’s highly-touted O-line this fall.

TYLER CLARK (DT, #52)

Clark, a 6-4, 300-pound senior, has been a mainstay in Georgia’s defensive front the past three seasons and especially sparkled in the Rose Bowl win over Oklahoma two years ago when he notched two tackles for lost yardage and a sack of QB Baker Mayfield for a 9-yard Sooner loss. Clark is gunning for a big senior campaign this fall and his pass rushing and run-stopping ability will be needed against Arkansas State’s potentially explosive offense Saturday afternoon.

ERIC STOKES  (CB, #27)

And a big performance from redshirt sophomore cornerback Stokes is also imperative this weekend as the Bulldogs’ secondary braces for the Red Wolves’ talented band of pass catchers. Stokes played in 13 of Georgia’s 14 games in 2018, starting in three of the last four. After finishing with 20 total tackles, including a season-high five stops in the Sugar Bowl against Texas, and also second on the team in pass breakups last year with nine, Stokes is without question one of the team leaders and is looking for a good showing Saturday, which could serve as a springboard into the following weekend when the Fighting Irish roll between the hedges.

TAE CROWDER (ILB, #30)

Crowder is another key cog for the Georgia defense in slowing down Arkansas State’s running and passing game on Saturday. This 6-3, 228-pound senior inside linebacker came to UGA as a running back out of Harris County High in Hamilton, Ga. but has made the move to the Bulldog defensive unit without a hitch. Crowder played in all 14 games in 2018 and finished with 53 total tackles, fifth best on the team, including 6.0 tackles-for-loss and 1.5 QB sacks. Crowder had a career-high eight tackles in the SEC title game loss to Alabama … enough said!
