Class of 2017 defensive back William Poole III has verbally committed to the University of Georgia.

 
Poole is a 6 foot 0 and 180 lbs defensive back for the Hapeville Charter high school football team out of the Atlanta, GA area. He has a number of scholarship offers from FBS programs including Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Southern Cal, and Tennessee to name a just a few.
 
 
Poole put out his top list of schools back in December right before Christmas, naming Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, and Georgia his top five, and just a couple of months later, on February 13th, he named the Bulldogs his leader.
 
 

 
 
William Poole is rated a 4-star prospect at defensive back for the class of 2017 by 247Sports.com‘s composite ranking system, and he also rated a 4-star prospect at ESPN along with Scout.com and at Rivals.com. The talented defensive back is considered one of the top 10 corners in the nations and is ranked in the Top ESPN300 and TOP247 as well as the Rival’s Top 100.
