Both Georgia cross country teams and two individuals have earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors.

The Bulldog distance teams have received this accolade for 10 consecutive seasons.

Led by distance coach Patrick Cunniff and Bulldog head coach Petros Kyprianou, the Lady Bulldogs finished with a 3.19 GPA for All-Academic Team honors after taking 10th at the NCAA South Regionals. Meanwhile, the Georgia men posted a 3.15 GPA and completed the year with a fourth-place finish at Regionals to be named an All-Academic Team.

Individually, senior Zack Sims and sophomore Bryan Kamau were named All-Academic Individuals for their performance on the course and in the classroom. Sims, a McDonough, Ga., native led Georgia with an eighth-place finish at Regionals and has a 3.44 overall GPA. Kamau, a native of Snellville, Ga., also crossed the finish line with All-Region honors after taking 17th and has an overall GPA of 3.31.
