NEWS:

Michael Mayer is a 2020 tight end from Alexandria, Kentucky. He is 6-5 and 240 pounds. According to the latest 2020 247Sports Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 101 overall prospect, the No. 1 TE and the No. 2 player in Kentucky. Mayer currently holds 16 offers with the latest coming from Georgia on June 15. Texas offered him on June 14. Mayer took an unofficial visit to Notre Dame on June 9th and Penn State on June 5th. Almost a month after his visit to Notre Dame, he committed to the Irish on July 1.  Even though he is committed to Notre Dame, I think that he will take visits this spring and summer. Georgia will likely try to get him on campus, but if I had to say who I thought he would end up with, it would be Notre Dame.
