Sometimes coaches at a major university football program don’t have to go too far to find talented prospective student-athletes. For the UGA coaching staff that is certainly true with Athens Academy being just about 4 miles down the road, literally in the Bulldawgs’ “backyard.” So it should come to no surprise that Georgia has a scholarship offer out to Deion Colzie.
The UGA coaching staff offered the rising junior back in April.
After a great talk I am truly blessed to receive an offer from the University of Georgia 🐶🔴! #GoDawgs @ChadSimmons_ @CamNewton7v7 @AthensAcademyFB @KirbySmartUGA @Coach_Hankton pic.twitter.com/MRnmnI8Yq6

In addition to the offer from Georgia, Colzie has picked up offers from Alabama, Duke, Florida, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, and West Virginia since this past spring.
Colzie is an impressive 6-foot-4 and 193 lbs. At The Opening Regionals in May in Nashville, TN, he posted a 4.56-second 40 and a 4.25-second shuttle to go along with a 3-foot vertical. 247Sports currently rates Colzie as a 4-star prospect, the No. 7 wide receiver, No. 6 player from the state of Georgia and No. 49 nationally overall. Rivals also rates Colzie as a 4-star prospect at WR and have him as the No. 8 WR, No. 11 player from the state of Georgia and No. 95 player overall nationally.
A dual-sport athlete, he plays at WR on offense and at CB on defense for the Spartans in football, and he also plays varsity basketball. The only highlights I could find for Deion Colzie were from a camp at Notre Dame.
