NEWS:
Darnell Wright is a five-star offensive tackle from Huntington, West Virginia. He’s 6-6 320 pounds. According to the latest 247Sports Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 9 overall player, No. 2 OT, and the No. 1 WV prospect. Wright currently holds 23 offers with the latest coming from FSU on February 20. He went on quite a few unofficial visits this spring and summer. Wright visited Tennessee on March 24, UNC on April 7, Alabama on April 21, Tennessee again on June 1, UNC again for camp on June 16, and Alabama again on July 28. On his 247Sports profile, Ohio State holds 62 percent, Tennesse holds 25 percent and Alabama holds 12 percent. Wright released a top 10 on July 26, which includes, Alabama, Clemson, FSU, Georgia, Miami, UNC, Ohio State, Penn State, USC, Tennessee. I think Georgia’s got a dog in the fight, but they must get him on campus. He has yet to visit Athens, but I think it’s only a matter of time before he visits. He plans to use one of his official visits to come to Georgia. If he has a good time, watch out, Sam Pittman knows how to sell this program.
