NEWS:
Julian Fleming is a 2020 five-star receiver from Catawissa, Pennsylvania. He’s 6-2 205 pounds. According to the latest 2020 247Sports Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 9 overall player, the No. 1 WR and the No. 1 prospect in PA. Fleming currently holds 26 offers with the latest coming from Miami on September 14. Purdue offered on August 14, Virginia on July 28, Arizona State on July 4, Notre Dame on June 20, and USC on June 19. On April 2, Fleming visited Penn State for an unofficial visit. Then he went to Alabama on April 13 and Georgia on April 14 for two more unofficial visits. Fleming went back to Penn State on April 21 for the Blue-White game.  After that, he went to Virginia Tech on June 10, back to Penn State for camp on June 16, and then to OSU for an unofficial visit on June 18. Fleming went back to Penn State yet again on September 1. James Franklin and David Corley visited him on Sept. 14 and then he went for another unofficial visit to Penn State on Sept. 15.
On July 4, he released a top six that included Clemson, Georgia, OSU, Penn State, Virginia Tech and USC. However, on August 1 he took to Twitter and said that his recruitment is now 100 percent OPEN. He claims that he wasn’t committed anywhere, but that he wanted to open his options back up for his future. Penn State easily holds 100 percent of the advantage on his 247Sports profile, but don’t count out the other schools yet. I expect him to get to Athens again, especially if the Bulldogs continue to use their receivers like they are. Clemson would be another to keep an eye out for. The Tigers know how to convince a talented receiver to come and he’s going to be one of the hottest commodities of the 2020 class. Open for now, but could be close to an end by the beginning of summer.
