NEWS:

Max Johnson is a 2020 four-star quarterback from Watkinsville, Georgia. He’s 6-3.5 and 214 pounds. According to the latest 2020, 247Sports Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 68 overall prospect, the No. 5 PRO QB, and the No. 9 player in Georgia. Johnson currently holds 16 offers with the latest coming from Tennessee on June 23. He visited Georgia for the Tennessee game on Sept. 29.  Johnson visited Miami on June 16 for camp. On his 247Sports profile, Miami holds 67 percent of the advantage while FSU holds 17 percent and the final 17 percent predicts as cloudy. He is the son of former NFL and FSU quarterback Brad Johnson who also happens to have ties to Mark Richt. For a while, it seemed to be between FSU and Miami, but I also think Georgia’s in the mix as well.

NEWS:

Robby Ashford is a 2020 four-star dual-threat quarterback from Hoover, Alabama. He’s 6-4 210 pounds. According to the latest 2020 247Sports Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 137 overall player, the No. 4 DUAL QB, and the No. 5 prospect in Alabama. Ashford currently holds 13 offers with the latest coming from Ole Miss on Oct. 26. Georgia offered on June 15, 2017. This summer, Ashford went to Georgia on June 13, Clemson on June 14 and finished up at Auburn on June 15. Then he followed those visits up with an unofficial visit to Mississippi State on June 19. During the one weekend in July that recruits could visit, he went to Alabama for an unofficial visit on July 28. Ashford went back to T-town on Sept. 22, and then to Mississippi State on Oct. 6.  His last visit was to Clemson on Oct. 20 for another unofficial visit. There doesn’t seem to be a trend here just yet and I fully expect to see him in Athens before the season is over, maybe even the Auburn game. Keep an eye out for this one.
