NEWS:

Zacch Pickens is a five-star defensive end from Anderson, South Carolina. He’s 6-4.5 268 pounds. According to the latest 2019 247Sports Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 17 overall player, the No. 1 SDE and the No. 1 player in SC. Pickens currently holds 17 offers with the latest coming from Alabama on Jan. 23. He committed to South Carolina on May 25 over Clemson and Georgia. Pickens visited Clemson on March 3 and took his official visit to South Carolina on June 2. He visited the Gamecocks again for the Georgia versus South Carolina game. Pickens is pretty solid with the Gamecocks, and will likely end up with them in the end. He’s a loyal guy and has ties to the University with his mother attending the school. Georgia and Clemson are the two biggest threats to the Gamecocks when it comes to this one. Keep an eye out till he puts the pen to the paper.

Chris Hinton

CLASS: 2019

POSITION: SDE

HT, WT: 6-4, 280

SCHOOL: Greater Atlanta Christian School

CITY, STATE: Norcross, GA

STATUS: HARD COMMIT: MICHIGAN 8/5/17

# OF OFFERS: 23 offers

UGA OFFER: Yes

NEWS:

Chris Hinton is a five-star defensive end from Norcross, Georgia. He’s 6-4 280 pounds. According to the latest 2019 247Sports Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 23 overall prospect, the No. 2 SDE and the No. 5 prospect in Georgia. Hinton currently holds 23 offers with the latest coming from USC on May 19, 2017. Since then he visited Ohio State on July 22, 2017. Hinton committed to Michigan on August 5, 2017, and has been a Michigan lock since. He took visits to Michigan on March 17 for an unofficial visit. Hinton headed back for his official visit on June 22. However, his latest visit was to Georgia, which surprised even me. Hinton is likely a Michigan lock, but Georgia stays in constant contact with him and even though he has ties to the Wolverines, the Bulldogs could potentially flip him. I’ll eat crow because just a few weeks ago I never saw him in this class. In fact, I’ll happily eat crow if this type of talent ends up on Georgia’s front seven.
