Ike Cousins Head Baseball Coach Wes Johnson
On slowing the game down….
“IT’s been a good series, excellent starting pitching by both clubs, and that’s what you expect in the SEC. I thought Dylan and Caden did an excellent job. Part of slowing the game down is you’ll see guys in the batter’s box, and they’re trying to think. You can’t do it while you’re inside, you have to do it outside too.”
#21 Jordy Oriach| UTIL | Sr.
On the four-run eighth inning…
“Our guys totally locked in. Our whole goal was to get [Liam] Peterson out of the game early because we knew that if he kept going, he was just going to keep going at us, and we just had to get to the bullpen. That’s what we did.”
#27 Dylan Vigue| RHP | Jr.
About SEC matchups on the mound ….
“It’s definitely exciting. I love going against other top guys in the league. At the end of the day, it just comes down to focusing on the team and my own stuff. Whatever happens on the other side plays out during the game.”
