Fourth-ranked Georgia dropped Sunday’s rubber match against No. 21 Florida, 13-7.

• Senior Matt Scott got the start on the mound for Georgia, (29-8, 11-4 SEC). Florida’s Luke McNeillie earned the win for the Gators, while Senior Grant Edwards (0-1) was credited with the loss.
• Florida (30-7, 12-3 SEC)  took the early lead putting three on the board in the first inning.
• Sophomore Rylan Lujo put Georgia on the board with a double to left center field in the bottom of the first.
•  Senior Michael O’Shaughnessy singled, allowing Jackson and Lujo to score, closing the gap to 3-2 heading into the second inning. 
• In the bottom of the second, junior Daniel Jackson, senior Jordy Oriach, and Lujo hit three consecutive singles bringing in one run a piece, tying the game at 5-5.

SB: UGA Takes Missouri Series with 4-0 Win

Junior Randi Roelling’s second complete game shutout of the weekend powered the No. 14 Georgia Bulldogs to a 4-0 win over the Missouri Tigers on Sunday afternoon in front of 1,553 spectators to take the series. Georgia now sits 31-11 (9-6) on the season while Missouri slides back to 22-22 (6-9).

Fast Facts:

• LHP Randi Roelling made the start in the circle going the complete seven inning and recording her third shutout of the season. She allowed just four hits, no earned runs and two walks while striking out a season-high nine batters.
• Offensively, senior Jaydyn Goodwin and Tyler Ellison each homered in the win. Both were solo shots.
• Natalie Ray joined Ellison, as the pair each tallied two hits in the win. Ray finished the afternoon 2-2 with one run, one double and one RBI, and Ellison was 2-3 with a run, an RBI and the home run.
• Senior Sarah Gordon flashed defensively in the top of the third inning with a 9-5 put-out from deep right field. 
• The Tigers mustered just four hits, one of which was a double.
• Georgia strengthens its all-time record against Missouri to 19-14.

The drop ball was working; I think she might have had a season high of strikeouts. We’re a pretty good team when we don’t give up runs. I thought the defense was really sharp.
