Opening Tip Storylines

 

 

 

 

» Georgia hits the road for its next two games, beginning with a trip to Auburn on Sunday. The contest between the Lady Bulldogs and Tigers tips off at Noon ET/11 a.m. CT at Auburn Arena. 

» The Lady Bulldogs built an early lead and never trailed in a 74-49 win against Missouri on Thursday. Jenna Staiti scored 22 points to go with nine rebounds to lead her team. 

» Georgia held Missouri to its second-lowest scoring output of the season. The Lady Bulldogs are third in the SEC in scoring defense (58 ppg), fourth in field-goal percentage defense (.376) and second in blocks (6.0 per game).

» The Lady Bulldogs used every available player on their roster during Thursday’s win. Georgia has a deep bench and has played 11 or more players in 12 games.

» Freshman Reigan Richardson has scored in double figures in two of the last three games. The Charlotte, N.C., native followed her career-high 17 point effort against LSU with 11 points against Missouri. 

» Georgia has won three-straight and seven of the last eight meetings overall against Auburn. The Lady Bulldogs boast a 33-19 all-time mark against the Tigers. 

» Georgia has an 8-2 record away from home this season, with impressive wins against Notre Dame, Texas Tech and No. 2-ranked NC State, among others. 

» Graduate guard Que Morrison is once again up for SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors. She ranks eighth in the SEC in steals, third in assists and second in free-throw percentage. The All-SEC nominee has scored in double figures in 12 of 13 conference contests and in 32 of her last 38 games overall.
