Dawgs in the NFL – Week 17
Former Georgia Bulldogs continued to find success on both sides of the ball during week 17 of the NFL’s regular season. Travon Walker, Lorenzo Carter, Jalen Carter and Quay Walker all recorded a sack in their respective games this week, with Walker posting a career-best two sacks in the Jaguars’ win. On offense, Zamir White posted his third game in a row with 85 or more yards from scrimmage while George Pickens recorded his second straight game with 130 or more receiving yards.
Ravens 56, Dolphins 19
Ben Cleveland, OG – Started at guard for Baltimore, playing 100 percent of its offensive snaps as the Ravens offense gained 491 total yards.
Roquan Smith, ILB – Started at inside linebacker for Baltimore as he racked up seven tackles one interception and two passes defended. This now marks Smith’s seventh game in a row with seven or more tackles. He is currently ranked fifth in the NFL in tackles with 158.
Channing Tindall, ILB – Served in a reserve linebacker role for Miami, posting one tackle in the loss.
Bills 27, Patriots 21
James Cook, RB – Started at running back for the Bills as he carried the ball 16 times for 48 yards along with one reception for a loss of four yards. With his 44 yards from scrimmage on Sunday, Cook became the first Bills running back to record a 1,500-yard season since 2017 when LeSean McCoy also reached the mark. Cook currently ranks third in the NFL in rushing yards with 1,086.
Leonard Floyd, OLB – Started at defensive end for Buffalo, posting two tackles and one for loss in the win.
David Andrews, OC – Started at center for the Patriots as the offense racked up 294 yards on the day.
Bears 37, Falcons 17
Lorenzo Carter, OLB – Appeared on 27 defensive snaps for the Falcons, recording three tackles and one sack in the loss.
John Fitzpatrick, TE – Was listed as not active for Atlanta on Sunday.
Colts 23, Raiders 20
John Jenkins, NT – Started at nose tackle for Las Vegas, posting seven tackles, good for second-most on the team, and one tackle for loss.
Zamir White, RB – Made his third consecutive start at running back for Las Vegas as he carried the ball 20 times for 71 yards. White also brought in five catches for 35 yards in the loss. With 106 yards from scrimmage on Sunday, White has now reached at least 85 yards from scrimmage for three consecutive games.
Christopher Smith II, S – Appeared on 13 special teams plays for the Raiders, recording no statistics.
Jaguars 26, Panthers 0
Tyson Campbell, CB – Started at cornerback for the Jaguars, racking up eight tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass defended in the win.
Travon Walker, OLB – Started at outside linebacker for Jacksonville, posting six tackles and two sacks. Walker has now recorded one or more sacks in his last three games.
Rams 26, Giants 25
Matthew Stafford, QB – Started at quarterback for the Rams as he completed 24 of his 34 pass attempts for 317 yards and one touchdown. Stafford currently ranks sixth in the NFL with 3,965 passing yards this season.
Derion Kendrick, CB – Appeared in 21 defensive snaps for the Rams, posting one tackle in the win.
Warren McClendon Jr., OT – Saw no action for Los Angeles in the team’s win.
Azeez Ojulari, OLB – Saw action on 60 percent of defensive snaps for New York, recording two quarterback hits on the day.
Andrew Thomas, OT – Started at offensive tackle for the Giants as they gained 389 yards on offense.
Cardinals 35, Eagles 31
Jalen Carter, DT – Saw action as a reserve defensive tackle for Philadelphia. Carter posted a sack for four yards, upping his total to six sacks on the season, and a quarterback hurry across 36 defensive snaps.
Jordan Davis, NT – Started at defensive tackle for the Eagles, contributing one tackle while appearing in just over half of the team’s defensive snaps.
Kelee Ringo, CB – Started for the third consecutive game at cornerback for Philadelphia, where he tied his career-best of five total tackles, four on defense and one on special teams.
Nolan Smith, OLB – Appeared as a reserve linebacker for the Eagles, contributing three tackles, two on defense and one on special teams, in 17 defensive snaps and 15 on special teams.
D’Andre Swift, RB – Totaled 66 yards from scrimmage in Philadelphia’s loss, rushing for 61 on 13 attempts and adding in one caught pass for five yards. Swift, who currently ranks fourth in the NFL in rushing yards, is currently setting single-season career bests in rushing yards (1,049) and scrimmage yards (1,263).
Saints 23, Buccaneers 13
Jake Camarda, P – Punted five times for the Buccaneers for a total of 207 yards, good for an average of 41.4 per attempt. Camarda, who ranks seventh in the league in punting yardage at 3,524 yards this season, had a long of 51 and pinned the Saints inside their 20-yard line once on Sunday.
Monty Rice, ILB – Was listed as not active in Tampa Bay’s loss on Sunday.
49ers 27, Commanders 10
Robert Beal Jr., DE – Saw action as a reserve defensive lineman for the 49ers, recording one tackle in four defensive snaps.
Charlie Woerner, TE – Entered the game as a backup tight end for San Francisco in 17 offensive snaps, recording no statistics.
Chris Conley, WR – Played in a reserve wide receiver role for the 49ers where he saw action in 22 offensive snaps and 12 on special teams, recording no statistics.
Steelers 30, Seahawks 23
Broderick Jones, OT – Started at right tackle for Pittsburgh, playing in all 72 of the Steelers’ offensive snaps as the team recorded 468 total yards of offense.
George Pickens, WR – Caught seven passes for 131 yards in the Steelers’ win, upping his season receiving yardage total to 1,140, good for 12th in the NFL and his first-ever 1,000-yard season. In last week’s win, Pickens caught two touchdowns and recorded a career-high 195 receiving yards, including a career-long 86-yard score, the NFL’s longest offensive play so far this season. Then, in the second half, Pickens caught a 66-yard touchdown from Mason Rudolph, making Pickens one of two players this season with multiple touchdown receptions of 60-plus yards in the same game (Tyreek Hill). Pickens also averaged 48.8 yards per reception. With a minimum of four catches, that’s the third-highest mark by a player since the 1970 league merger, behind DeSean Jackson (52.5, Dec. 12, 2010) and Gary Clark (50.8, Nov. 10, 1991).
Darnell Washington, TE – Earned the start at tight end for Pittsburgh for the seventh time this season, appearing in 45 offensive snaps and 12 on special teams, recording no statistics.
Kenny McIntosh, RB – Was listed as not active in Seattle’s loss on Sunday.
Broncos 16, Chargers 9
Jamaree Salyer, OT/OG – Started at right guard for the Chargers, appearing in all 65 offensive snaps as the team racked up 301 yards of total offense.
Chiefs 25, Bengals 17
Malik Herring, DE – Was listed as not active in Kansas City’s win on Sunday.
Mecole Hardman, WR – Appeared in five offensive snaps for the Chiefs as a reserve wide receiver, recording no statistics.
Trey Hill, OC – Was listed as not active in Cincinnati’s loss on Sunday.
Packers 33, Vikings 10
Quay Walker, ILB – Posted six tackles, including a sack for 10 yards, and two quarterback hurries while playing in all 53 defensive snaps for the Packers. Walker, now with 109 total tackles this season, has posted over 100 tackles in both of his two seasons in the NFL.
Devonte Wyatt, DE – Appeared in a defensive lineman role for Green Bay, and was credited with two tackles, half of a sack for four yards and two quarterback hurries across 29 defensive snaps.
Lewis Cine, S – Saw action in eight defensive snaps and 11 on special teams for the Vikings in a backup safety role, recording one tackle.
