Opening Tip Storylines

» Georgia hosts Ole Miss at 6 p.m. ET Thursday inside Stegeman Coliseum.

» The Lady Bulldogs are led by a talented group of freshmen. Georgia is the only SEC team to have two freshmen rank among its top three scorers. Lady Bulldog rookies make up 45 percent of the team’s scoring and 40 percent of the squad’s rebounding.

»  The Lady Bulldogs have started three freshmen in each of the last five games. It marks the first time since 2013 that Georgia has started three or more rookies in a game.

» Georgia owns a commanding 38-16 lead in the all-time series against the Rebels, including a 20-3 advantage in Athens.

» Ole Miss is receiving votes in this week’s Associated Press Top 25. The Rebels are 4-3 in SEC play, with wins against Auburn, Vanderbilt, Florida and Mississippi State.

» Georgia senior guard De’Mauri Flournoy ranks third in the SEC with 50 made 3-pointers this year. She is shooting 50 percent from behind the arc in conference play.

» Freshman forward Miyah Verse is averaging 8.29 rebounds per game in SEC games. She brought down a career-best 17 boards at Texas A&M, marking the most for a Georgia freshman in a game since Caliya Robinson in 2017.

» Senior guard Asia Avinger ranks in the top-10 of the SEC in both assists (4.8 per game) and steals (2.1 per game).

» It was recently announced that Georgia inked the No.18-ranked recruiting class in 2025, marking the second-straight year the team has signed a top-20 class. Georgia was the only SEC team to sign four ESPN top-100 prospects in 2024 — a class that ranked No. 16 nationally.
