Key Quotes
Ike Cousins Head Baseball Coach Wes Johnson
On tonight’s performance…
“You’re going to get a game where you hit a lot of balls hard, and they all go for you. Tre (Phelps) lines out there in the third, but we have to do a better job of runners in scoring position. We were 2-for-14 today with runners in scoring position, and we have to do a better job when we get them in there. That’s going to be the difference in a game like this. When you really look at things, we have six games in six days. We did that for a reason. We did that to test and to stretch our players. You want to win them all. We’re trying to win them all, but we learned a lot today.”

On his first-career grand slam…
“Honestly, I didn’t really know if it was going to get out or not, but I knew I had a chance. I knew at the very least it was going to get a runner in, but it was obviously better that it got out.”
